![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I opened up the character creation, and copy pasted the text to find out that the font used is size 9. If you are stuggling to read the text idk, what you can do about that really as its never been a issue for me :( The first part breaks down your activities for the day, the matters of concern will tell you about any new spells, phemes or locations you can use now, rumors is useless unless you want to stalk fellow students and the merit board shows which house is in the lead for a reward.Īs for character generation, you can see what stats each option boosts in their description and yeah, it is very overwhelming on your first run because you won't know what anything does. You increased relationship with proffesor sido by 1, ect Trained art apritiation, one skill step ect It will usually have something like this You can reveiw any day again by clicking history on a previous day. It should have taken you to the results of the day before going back to the calendar. ![]() It's not my first time with a life sim - I've played many, but I'll confess I gave up in exhaustion after laboriously making it through Academagia's character creation (why so many separate screens? you have those ten points to use, but it's completely unclear at the outset how many different things you have to spend them on), finally reaching the calendar, thinking "Okay, at last I'll see how all this plays out," entering all my choices - and then just being taken to ANOTHER calendar screen, still with no feedback on what any of my selections had meant. I'm happy figuring out the optimal strategy by trial and error, but I was defeated by how many choices you have to make before seeing the consequences of any of them. Originally posted by Hexprone:I don't want to be told the best way to play, I just wish it was clearer HOW to play. By the time you get the studies done, you'll have accumulated a few stats from your classes and failed random events, enough that you should be able to start thinking about research topics to boost attributes, adventures, or building a clique of friends, all while continually building your stats to take on new challenges, there are some skills and subskills which are more useful than others but figuring that out as you play is part of the charm. Unless you want to go all out and either get a familiar with good stats or invest character gen into getting one, its best to get a bond to 6 and then when you hit a point where you cannot train yourself anymore in a skill but it won't let you pass a adventure test, train your familar up three levels in said skill and it will increase your chances.įinally, study at the velicum library non stop early game as your stats will be bad, get all your classes study ranks to ten (60 actions) while figuring out the way the game plays and what you can do. Bond is a familar skill which can be leveled up like any other. A familiar boosts your own skills and subskills by its own skills up to half its bond level. This will unlock improved familiar handling which allows you to give your familar 4 skill steps in one action, is usable every other day. You can gain attributes from completing adventure arcs, researching certain topics to level ten and maxing certain studies.įamliars are important, if you want to make use of them get zoology to level 5 (A skill's level is equal to its third highest subskill) which you can achieve by mid game simply by taking zoology as a class. The higher the attribute the faster you will be able to level up skills as there are less skill steps needed to level them up, with a attribute at 1, the subskills soon get to the point where you need 4 skill steps per skill level which is 4 actions spent training to get it up. For character creation theres the wiki linked above but just some tips to help you feel things out.įor attributes, 3 is the magic number, if you have a 3 in a attribute that governs a class you will natturally rise to max stats in that class by the end of the year. ![]()
